📈 Investor's Desk Pack
Ten prompts for researching a share like a careful analyst: understand the business, test the story, check for red flags and keep to your own plan. Research and education only.
For: Private investors who want to research shares properly, without tips or hype. Fill in anything in [square brackets].
1. Explain it simply
Explain [company] to me as if I'm new to investing: what it sells, who pays, how it makes a profit and what could go wrong. Use its latest annual report and show your sources with dates.
💡 Ask a follow-up: 'Which number matters most for this business?'
2. Steelman the bear case
Make the strongest honest case AGAINST owning [company], using real numbers with sources. Then tell me which of those points the bulls have a good answer to.
💡 Do this before you buy, not after.
3. What has to be true?
At today's price, what would [company] need to achieve over the next 5 years (revenue, margins, growth) to justify it? Show the arithmetic and say whether that's ever been done before.
💡 Great for exciting growth stocks.
