Tips for naming your agent

  • ✅ Keep it short. You’ll type or say it a lot. One or two syllables is ideal.
  • ✅ Hint at the job. With several agents, names like Ledger, Chase or Scribbles tell you who does what.
  • ✅ Match the personality. A formal agent suits a formal name; a playful one can be called Biscuit.
  • ✅ Avoid names that clash. Skip names of colleagues, family or customers, and famous AI characters.
  • ✅ Say it out loud. If it sounds odd in “Hey ___, what’s on today?”, try another.

Questions

What makes a good AI agent name?

Short, easy to say out loud and different from the people you work with. One or two syllables works best if you’ll type or say it often. A name that hints at the job (Chase for an invoice chaser, Ledger for a bookkeeper) helps you remember which agent does what.

Should I give my AI assistant a human name?

It’s up to you. A human name feels warmer, but a robot or object name (Rivet, Unit-7, Beacon) makes it obvious you’re talking to an AI, which is clearer for customers. If the agent talks to the public, say it’s an AI in its first message either way.

Can I use a famous robot or AI name?

Better not. Names like those from films, games or big tech assistants belong to someone else and can cause confusion or trademark trouble. Every name in this generator is an ordinary first name or an original one, and famous AI names are filtered out.

Does the name change how the agent behaves?

A little. Most AI models lean into a name: a butler called Ashworth will sound more formal than one called Ziggy. The personality settings in the creator have a much bigger effect.

Is the name generator free?

Yes. Generate as many names as you like, design the whole agent in the creator and preview it free. You only pay if you download the finished kit, and your first agent is free.
